Super Bowl Halftime

The Super Bowl will take place Feb. 3 from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. While it will be the first time the Falcons’ new venue has hosted the big game, it’s far from the first time the denizens of Georgia’s capital have hosted America’s favorite championship game. This year’s Super Bowl marks the third time the contest has been held in Atlanta — the other two coming in 1994 and 2000

On Super Bowl Sunday, the Patriots and Rams are scheduled to be the opening act. The headliner, at least for the Super Bowl halftime show, is a slightly smaller group of performers.

Following in the footsteps of Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and more, three-time Grammy winning band Maroon 5 is this year’s headliner. Maroon 5 will be joined by Travis Scott, a Grammy nominated rapper, and Big Boi, who is from Atlanta, which will be hosting the proceedings at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
